Holiday time has arrived, and we're worthy of an extra dose of it!
As last week was a rowdy crowd, this week was much more subdued. Except for the older Italian man who proposed marriage to me. (It's amazing how men only think of their stomachs, eh?) And, after last night's dinner, EVERY ONE OF YOU should be proposed to! From soup to Christmas cupcakes, everything was delicious. It is always a pleasure saying goodnight to our guests when we know how fulfilled they are.
During dinner-hour, a reporter from The Spectator walked among the guests, asking each person for the reason they come to OOTC. She told me later that the reasons were numerous, but the consensus was : OUR FOOD! Runner up answers included: lack of money to eat after other expenses, social get together, companionship and homelessness.
Hopefully, our guests will find suitable shelter and meals, fulfilled with Peace & Happiness & Hope this holiday season.
