 Shavuah Tov!

We welcome you back to another season of Out of the Cold which debuts on Wednesday, November 5th.  This beginning is especially auspicious as it was twenty-five years ago, that Beth Jacob Synagogue’s rebetzin, Gloria Silverman z”l, brought to life our community’s commitment to feed the hungry.  With a mighty group of volunteers, she fed, clothed, provided overnight shelter and breakfast and a bagged lunch to people who depended on kindness.  Today, as we celebrated Simchat Torah in synagogues, we recited the final verses of Deuteronomy AND the opening lines of Genesis showing the continuity of the book that has no end and no beginning. We danced with the Torahs, passing them from one person to the next, commemorating our joy and recommitment to Jewish values and learning. YASHER KOACH to all of you for continuing this  meaningful tradition.

Here is some information that many of you already proudly know by heart.

*Erskine Presbyterian is at 19 Pearl St. N. To enter the church, walk up the ramp from the driveway and ring the doorbell. We will come running.

*Upon entry, please wash your hands at the small kitchen sink and report to duty.

*Erskine houses two daycares and a private school.. Please be extra mindful of little people!

*The parking lot is strictly reserved for school staff. Please park along the side streets and take note of posted parking time restrictions. Carpool whenever possible.
